Yemeni forces kill more protesters

Yemeni regime forces have reportedly killed at least three anti-government protesters, injuring many more in two southwestern cities.

The fatalities were inflicted in Bayda on Thursday, when the regime forces targeted demonstrators from the rooftop of President Ali Abdullah Saleh’s ruling party offices, AFP reported.

Reports from the city say regime forces have abducted a number of the injured.

Troops also attacked demonstrators in the city of Taizz, injuring over 250 people, a Press TV correspondent said.

Government-ordered crackdown also claimed two lives in Taizz on Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday, security forces and plainclothes gunmen shot 12 people dead in the capital, Sana’a. The city was witnessing the largest demonstration of the day with the protesting public marching from Sana’a’s University Square towards government headquarters overnight.

During the day, the forces shot dead two more protesters in the town of Dhamar and the city of Hudaydah, both in the west.
