Demolition orders against houses in al-Khalil

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– The Israeli authorities have started since the early morning hours handing demolition orders Arab Ka’abna area in Yatta town, south of al-Khalil.

The Israeli Civil Administration has handed demolition orders against four Palestinian houses and a store under the pretext of being built without permits, Quds press confirmed.

Yatta town has witnessed recently an Israeli demolition campaign in an attempt to displace its residents and confiscate their lands.


Five thousand new housing units to be approved in West Bank

RAMALLAH, (PIC)– Peace Now organization stated that the Israeli authorities are set to approve five thousand new housing units in West Bank in a record time, Yediot Ahronot Hebrew newspaper said.

The Israeli government talks about the two-state solution, while it practices the opposite on the ground,” said Yariv Oppenheimer, secretary general of the left-wing Peace Now movement.

The newspaper quoted the Settlements Council as saying that all Israeli left parties’ attempts to halt settlement construction have failed.

There were 120 thousand Jewish settlers in West Bank during Oslo Accords, while their number has now reached 370 thousand settlers, he pointed out.


Christian-Muslim Commission warns of excavations under Al-Aqsa Mosque

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– Christian-Muslim Commission for support of Jerusalem and holy sites warned of the seriousness of the Judaization excavations under Al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing that they could lead to the collapse of part of the mosque.

The Commission noted in a statement on Sunday that the excavations have reached a depth of 4 meters in the southwestern tip, demanding the international community to take immediate action to save Al-Aqsa Mosque.

It also stressed that the explicit confessions of the Israeli occupation government about carrying out these excavations prove Israel’s rejection of all international resolutions and conventions.

Christian-Muslim Commission added these confessions come under the framework of the continuation of the Judaization plans and projects that aim to demolish Al-Aqsa Mosque and build the alleged temple on its ruins.
