Palestine: Minors shot, demolitions & notices to evacuate houses

Two minors shot, detained near separation wall

JENIN, (PIC)– Two Palestinian minors were shot and wounded at the hands of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Jalbon village near Jenin on Wednesday night.

Eyewitnesses said that the soldiers fired at Yazid Tawfik, 16, and Ibrahim Omar, 17, at the pretext they approached the separation wall in the village and tried to cross it.

They said that Yazid suffered bullet wounds while Ibrahim suffered serious fractures, adding that the soldiers arrested both and took them in an army jeep.

The sources said that the soldiers combed the area and stormed Jalbon village, set a roadblock at its entrance, and searched passing vehicles.


Israeli police detains 3 children during raid in Issawiyeh

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– Israeli police and undercover forces shot a Palestinian youth and detained three children, following a raid in the east Jerusalem town of Issawiyeh on Wednesday.

The Information Center of Wadi Hilweh in Silwan said that the occupation forces raided Abid neighborhood in Issawiyeh and arrested three children aged 13, then took them to an unknown destination.

An Israeli police spokeswoman said that the Palestinian young man started throwing stones towards the Israeli policemen and the border guards in the Issawiyeh neighborhood. The forces arrested only one man and fired into the air, according to the police spokeswoman claims.

During the raid, 20-year-old Ibrahim Juweid was shot by the Israeli undercover units in the abdomen. He was taken to Hadassah Ein Karem Hospital were his injuries were described as serious.

Member of the Follow-Up Committee, Muhammad Abul Humus, asserted that Juweid was injured by Israeli fire while he was attending his brother’s wedding party in the town.

Local sources said: “The elements of the Israeli undercover unit have randomly fired more than 50 live bullets in the area, injuring the young man and causing a state of panic among the villagers.”

Eyewitnesses said that the undercover unit has also arrested two other children and a young man from the West Bank during the raid in the Issawiyeh village.


IOA bulldozers demolish six Jerusalemite buildings

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) razed a number of apartments and shops in Khilla suburb east of the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.

The Wadi Hilwa information center said that Israeli municipality bulldozers demolished the apartment and the shops on Wednesday.

It said that the buildings were owned by two Jerusalemites and were razed at the pretext of lack of construction permits.

The center said that the 500 square meters buildings were ready for use as they were completed in August 2012 at a cost of around 165,000 dollars.

It pointed out that an Israeli court had ordered the demolition of the buildings in May 2013 but the municipality suddenly demolished them on 24th April.


IOA notifies families to evacuate their houses in Jordan Valley

JORADAN VALLEY, (PIC)– Israeli Occupation Authorities (IOA) notified on Wednesday dozens of Palestinian families in the northern Jordan Valley to evacuate their homes under the pretext of conducting military trainings.

The chairman of the Local Council in Wadi al-Maleh and Bedouin villages, Aref Daraghmeh, told Quds Press that the Israeli army handed over 100 Palestinian families in ​​Wadi al-Maleh in the Jordan Valley notifications to vacate their homes for several days starting from next Monday under the pretext of conducting military trainings in the area near their home areas.

The Israeli evacuation and demolition notifications against Palestinian houses in the Jordan Valley came in light of the Israeli targeting of the area aiming to deport the residents and take control over their lands and properties.


IOA serves notices for the demolition of clinic, houses in Al-Khalil

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) served demolition notices to owners of four Palestinian houses and a medical clinic in Yatta town in Al-Khalil on Wednesday evening.

Ratib Al-Jabour, the coordinator of the popular committee in Yatta, said that the four houses are owned by two brothers in Eqawaris area.

He said that the demolition notifications also included a medical clinic that is still under construction in Susiya and that was supposed to extend medical services to more than 145 people inhabiting that area.
