Palestine: Bedouins expelled, escalation of attacks south of Jenin & arrests

IOF soldiers expel Bedouins to launch war drills

NABLUS, (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed Al-Ras Al-Ahmar area in the northern Jordan Valley on Thursday and ordered Bedouins to evacuate their tents by next Tuesday.

Ahmed Al-Assad, the head of the committee for the defense of Valley land, said in a press release that the soldiers served notifications to the Bedouins that they should be out of the area from six am to six pm next Tuesday.

He said that the soldiers warned the Bedouins against remaining in their land, adding that they said that war drills would be conducted on Tobas province land.

Assad noted that the temporary eviction of Bedouins had recurred recently at the pretext of military exercises, while in fact it aims at driving the Palestinian population out of the Jordan Valley.


Jewish settlers escalate attacks south of Jenin

JENIN, (PIC)– Jewish settlers escalated provocations and attacks on villages south of Jenin on Wednesday night and blocked streets leading to Yabad village.

Local sources said that settlers from Dothan settlement burnt tires on the road leading to Yabad village near Dothan roadblock and tried to assault Palestinian vehicles.

They said that Israeli soldiers manning the barrier closed it before traffic creating congestions on nearby roads.

Citizens said that the settlers chanted anti-Arab slogans one of which was “Death to the Arabs”.


Israeli courts sentence child, impose house arrest on doctor

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– The Israeli Ofer court sentenced a Palestinian child from Sourif village, Al-Khalil province, to 19 months behind bars.

The Israeli occupation forces had arrested the child Mahmoud Ghunaimat along with a group of children from the same village in the age category 14-18 three months ago and sentenced them to jail for periods ranging from six to eighteen months along with fines.

Meanwhile, the Magistrate Court in occupied Jerusalem released Dr. Amani Ode, 26, on bail and on condition that she would remain in her home for ten days.

The Israeli prosecution accused the doctor with incitement and writing anti-occupation leaflets.


IOF soldiers arrest Palestinian man in Al-Khalil, storm nearby villages

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested a Palestinian man in Al-Khalil city and stormed a number of villages in the province on Thursday morning.

Local sources said that IOF soldiers detained Mahmoud Khalaf after breaking into his home and searching it in Al-Khalil city.

They said that the soldiers barged into three suburbs in southern Al-Khalil and stormed two villages west of the city, set up roadblocks and checked IDs without making further arrests.
