Palestine: Homes attacked, child injured & soldiers detain lawyer Issawi for few hours

Jewish settlers attack Palestinian homes, injure child

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– Jewish settlers, studying at a religious school in Kiryat Arba to the east of Al-Khalil, attacked Palestinian homes in Wadi Nasara suburb in Al-Khalil on Saturday morning.

Inhabitants said that groups of Jewish students, walking from Kiryat Arba to the Ibrahimi mosque, threw stones and empty bottles at Palestinian homes injuring 14-year-old child Saadi Jaber.

They said that Saadi was taken to Al-Khalil government hospital with moderate injuries.

Confrontations were reported after the incident between young Palestinian men and those settlers along with Israeli occupation forces, they said, adding that IOF soldiers chased Palestinian youths in the nearby alleys and cordoned off the area.


New settlement outpost in Nablus

NABLUS, (PIC)– Jewish settlers from the Allon Moreh settlement set up a new settlement outpost on Palestinian land in Salem village to the east of Nablus.

Abdul Karim Hussein, the mayor of Salem village, said in a press release that the settlers had previously installed two mobile homes on the mountain of Ras Hazem.

He added that on Friday morning there were ten such mobile homes in an apparent attempt to set up a new settlement outpost.

Hussein said that Israeli bulldozers were leveling land in the vicinity of those caravans ruining olive trees in the process.

He said that the 400-dunum area of the mountain is owned by citizens in Salem village, who have documents to prove their ownership of the land.

The mayor said that settlers usually occupy a portion of Palestinian land to set up an outpost that steadily grows at the expense of nearby citizens’ land.


IOF soldiers detain lawyer Issawi for few hours

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) detained lawyer Shireen Al-Issawi for a few hours on Saturday morning near Beit Hanina, north of occupied Jerusalem.

The lawyer, the sister of detained hunger striker Samer Al-Issawi, said on Twitter that IOF soldiers intercepted her car near Beit Hanina town, searched her and her car then told that she was under arrest.

IOF continues to harass family of Samer Al-Issawi, who has been on hunger strike for 216 days, in a bid pressure him into breaking his strike.


Israeli undercover soldiers demolish sit-in tent in Issawiye, arrest five

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces and undercover agents stormed the town of Issawiye in occupied Jerusalem on Friday night and arrested five citizens including children.

Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli forces stormed the town from its main entrance amidst heavy firing of stun grenades while the undercover agents advanced through another area near the Hebrew university and kidnapped five civilians.

Wadi Halawa information center named the kidnapped five citizens, adding that they include children as young as 12 years old and young men.

It said that the agents demolished the sit-in tent pitched in solidarity with detained hunger striker Samer Al-Issawi, adding that young men were quick to rebuild the tent as soon as the Israeli forces left the area.

    I hope that Palestine government will do everything and explore all options to settle the crisis, for its citizen welfare and no innocent lives should suffer or taken as possible.
