A Bahraini youth, Mahmoud Issa al-Jaziri, died on Friday a week after being shot by regime forces during protests that marked the second anniversary of the Bahraini revolution.

Martyr Jaziri was injured after being directly shot in head by regime forces from a near distance, during a peaceful protest in An-Nabih Saleh island, south of the capital, Manama.

In a statement, opposition group, al-Wefaq, said that the martyr Jaziri was killed by the hand of regime forces, considering the incident as a part of the official terrorism operation staged against all those who have been calling for democracy and freedom in Bahrain.

Al-Wefaq said the murder of Jaziri uncovers the level of terrorism and violence the regime has been staging against peaceful protesters.

It also said that the regime holds responsibility for all the crimes, urging the international community to take an ethical stance in a bid to stop the series of killing and oppressing citizens.
