Israeli bulldozers destroy thousands of dunums of cultivated land in the Naqab (Negev)

NEGEV, (PIC)– Israeli bulldozers have destroyed thousands of dunums of cultivated land belonging to Palestinians in the village of Wadi Naam in occupied southern Negev in 1948-occupied Palestine.

Police and occupation forces in large numbers, accompanied by a number of agricultural tractors stormed cultivated lands in the Bedouin village of Wadi Naam at down on Tuesday morning and started destroying crops in thousands of dunums planted with wheat, belonging to residents of the village, the village’s mayor confirmed.

The mayor told Quds press that the occupation authorities claimed that it is a governmental land seized by force by the Negev Bedouins, stressing that “it is a false claim.”

We are on this land before the establishment of this state, and history confirms that we have been here since hundreds or even thousands of years. We are not invaders, the occupation has seized our land by force, he explained.

He added that “the demolition and destruction processes were part of an Israeli deliberate policy to displace Palestinian Arab citizens from Negev,” stressing their adherence to their land despite the Israeli racist policies.

The mayor confirmed that the occupation authorities are planning to deport the village’s residents, about 14 thousand people, in order to seize their lands.
