2 Palestinians injured by Israeli fire in northern Gaza

GAZA, (PIC)– Two Palestinian young men were injured by Israeli fire in the northern Gaza Strip on Thursday, medics said.

Gaza health ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qidra told PIC’s reporter that the occupation forces in the east of Beit Hanoun opened fire on citizens in the area, injuring two young men.

A 20-year-old man was hit in the chest and is in serious condition, while the other man, aged 22, was shot in the hand and suffered moderate injuries, al-Qidra added.

The two injured were transferred to hospitals in Gaza to receive treatment.

The occupation has been targeting citizens and farmers in their fields near the border fence, which comes within the repeated Israeli violations of the truce signed with Palestinian factions last November under Egyptian auspices.

Bulgarian security storm Hamas parliamentary delegation’s residence

GAZA,(PIC)– Bulgarian security forces stormed on Friday morning the residence of Hamas parliamentary delegation during their official visit to Bulgaria.

Hamas bloc said in a statement that the Bulgarian security forces stormed the delegation’s residence, where the Palestinian MPs were forced to leave immediately before the end of their three-day visit, under the pretext of Israeli pressures.

The parliamentary bloc confirmed in a statement that the storming process came although the delegation has formally entered and held several official and popular meetings during the last few days.

For his part, MP Dr. Salah Bardawil, member of the visiting delegation, said in a press statement that the Bulgarian police stormed the hotel, where Hamas’s delegation resides, and took them by car to the airport in the capital city of Sofia to deport them.

MP Bardawil condemned the Bulgarian police’s breaking into the hotel although they have permission to enter the country and to hold a number of political and popular meetings.

Bardawil pointed out that these measures came in response to the breakthrough that the delegation has achieved in removing the European political siege on Hamas and its parliamentary bloc.

The Palestinian MP confirmed that the deportation decision was political par excellence and came under Israeli pressures and carried out by Bulgarian Foreign Minister who is of Israeli origin.

The parliamentary delegation, headed by engineer Ismail Ashqar, has arrived to Bulgaria for the first visit on Wednesday, and held a series of meetings since its visit started.
