Occupation continues to falsify al-Aqsa’s history
OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– In light of the Israeli campaign to falsify history in Jerusalem, Jewish groups have smuggled a model of the alleged temple into the courtyards of al-Aqsa Mosque on Thursday morning and displayed outside the Dome of the Rock. They told settlers and tourists that the temple stood where the Dome of the Rock stands today.
Al-Aqsa Foundation for Endowment and Heritage confirmed on Thursday that Israeli Judaization schemes have escalated in al- Aqsa Mosque, promoting the myth that the Dome of the Rock was built over the alleged temple.
The occupation started in recent years working intensely to activate foreign tourism in al-Aqsa Mosque, and to falsify Islamic history which affirms the Muslims’ right in al- Aqsa Mosque, through promoting false and misleading information to tourists about where the alleged temple stood.
Al-Aqsa Foundation expressed its refusal to the Israeli Judaization and falsifying campaigns against al-Aqsa Mosque’s Islamic history, confirming that these campaigns will never succeed in blurring Muslims rights in the holy sites.
The Foundation called on the Arab and Muslim world to pay attention to such Judaization schemes that target the Islamic history, and calling for liberating al-Aqsa mosque.
Expert warns: Aqsa Mosque entered very dangerous stage
OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– Analysts opined that demolishing Islamic buildings in the northern side of Buraq Square by Israeli occupation authorities was in preparation for construction of a huge synagogue adjacent to the Aqsa Mosque.
Dr. Jamal Amro, an expert specialized in the issues of Jerusalem, the holy sites and settlements, told PIC’s reporter that the demolition of Islamic buildings in Buraq Square constitutes the sixth and final stage of the occupation scheme to build the alleged Temple on the ruins of the Aqsa Mosque.
The first phase, according to Amro, ended with seizing control over all underground tunnels inside the Old City and under the Aqsa Mosque.
The second phase was the building of 61 synagogues in the vicinity of the Aqsa Mosque over a large area of land, while preparations are underway for the construction of the 62nd synagogue, which will be the largest one in the world, adjacent to the Aqsa Mosque in the west side, in a bid to obliterate the Arab and Islamic history in the city.
Amro added that the third phase was represented in seizing Islamic properties from the Umayyad and Abbasid eras, while the fourth phase included setting up golden chandelier, weighing 45 kilograms, in the area overlooking the Buraq Square from the west.
The fifth stage, Amro said, “was represented in the completion of the executive schemes for building models of the Temple,” stressing that this stage is extremely serious, because it aims to grant the occupation the necessary political, legal and legitimate cover for the implementation of the construction that represents the sixth stage.
“The Aqsa mosque has actually entered a dangerous stage, with the completion of the six stages. This means that we are facing the stage of implementation,” Amro confirmed.
Meanwhile, the International Quds Institution released its annual report that monitors and documents the Israeli repeated violations in Jerusalem, and stressed the IQI support for Jerusalem and its residents facing the escalated campaign of judaization.
This came during a press conference held by the IQI on Thursday in the Lebanese capital Beirut.
Beshara Merhej, Deputy Head of the IQI Board of Trustees, stressed that Israel, which occupies Jerusalem with the support of Washington, has continued its plans to Judaize the city, and he criticized the inaction and silence of Arabs and Muslims in supporting Jerusalem.
The IQI called for combining efforts to confront the judaization project, to protect Jerusalem and the holy sites and to support the steadfastness of Jerusalemites.
It also stressed the importance of “resistance as a strategic option for the liberation of Jerusalem from Israeli occupation.”
New sit-in tent pitched in Sheikh Jarrah
OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– Dozens of Jerusalemites and foreign activists pitched a new sit-in tent in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem on Friday to protest the Israeli occupation authorities’ decision to evict Shamasne family from their home.
Participants chanted slogans against the decision that threatens the Palestinians’ right to live in their homes in security and stability.
Mohammed Shamasne, the son of the owner of the house, said in a press release that the tent was pitched in protest at the IOA decision to hand over the house to Jewish settlers after ordering his family to evacuate it by 1st of March 2013.
He said that the IOA had served them an evacuation notice on 31-12-2012, but his family filed a complaint against the decision with the Israeli higher court a month ago. He added that his family had been living in this house since 1964 and had rented it during the rule of the Jordanian authorities.
Mohammed said that the house contains two bedrooms and provides shelter for ten individuals, warning that other houses in the neighborhood were threatened with the same fate.
