Palestine: Al-Aqsa mosque stormed, olive trees cut, demolitions & arrests

100 Jewish settlers storm Aqsa mosque

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– Israeli policemen detained a Palestinian man inside the Aqsa mosque for objecting to the tour of the holy site by more than one hundred Jewish settlers.

The Aqsa foundation for endowment and heritage said that dozens of fanatic Jewish settlers broke into the Aqsa mosque to coincide with the Israeli general elections.

It said that worshippers in the holy shrine chanted Allahu Akbar in rejection of the tour, adding that policemen detained one of them and took him to an interrogation center.

The foundation pointed out that the storming also coincided with Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the Buraq plaza along with his family and performing Talmudic rituals, describing the visit as election campaigning.


Aqsa foundation: The IOA stepped up its diggings in Maghariba area

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– Al-Aqsa foundation for endowment and heritage said that the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) intensified its excavations at Al-Maghariba Gate ramp to the west of the Aqsa Mosque.

In a report, the foundation stated that the IOF raised the number of diggers and their working hours, and expanded the area of its excavations.

It affirmed that the IOF intends to expand soon Al-Buraq square for Jewish rituals and open a chapel for women beneath Al-Maghariba Gate ramp.

The foundation added that the workmen destroyed most of the Islamic ruins and monuments at the dig site.


Jewish settlers cut down 20 olive trees

NABLUS, (PIC)– Jewish settlers from the Yitzhar settlement attacked and cut down olive trees south of Nablus on Monday, local sources reported.

Inhabitants said that they saw a group of ten settlers coming from the nearby Yitzhar settlement and attacking their fields.

They said that the settlers cut down more than 20 trees then fled the scene.


IOF soldiers destroy six installations south of Al-Khalil

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) razed six installations south of Daheria town, which is south of Al-Khalil district, on Monday.

Shehda Al-Wuridat, a resident of the Khirbat Al-Rahwa hamlet, told the PIC reporter that IOF soldiers escorted two bulldozes and other heavy machines and razed four houses including his own.

He said that the soldiers also destroyed two cattle corrals and damaged property other than beating inhabitants.

The hamlet’s land, which is near to the bypass road south of Daheria, is threatened by confiscation.

The IOF destruction spree of Palestinian homes and property escalated with the approach of the Israeli general elections in a clear bid to attract votes to the ruling coalition parties.


IOF troops raze Palestinian house, agricultural utilities

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) razed the home of Ahmed Al-Amur in Erfaya area to the east of Yatta, south of Al-Khalil, on Monday and rendered his 16-member family homeless.

Shehade Al-Arini, a citizen in Erfaya, told the PIC reporter that a big number of IOF soldiers escorted huge bulldozes that knocked down the two-story home.

He pointed out that the same force also demolished a 1000-square-meter agricultural room and a water well used for irrigation and drinking in nearby Hawara owned by 64-year-old Mousa Mohammed.

The IOF soldiers destroyed a two-story building for the same family two months ago in addition to a big number of houses and shelters in that area and nearby hamlets.


Occupation arrests 10 Palestinians in WB

WEST BANK, (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested at dawn Monday ten Palestinian young men during raids in towns of Jenin, Tubas and al-Khalil.

Local sources said that the IOF carried out raids in the town of Qabatiya during which they fired light bombs, raided the houses of citizens and arrested the citizen Jasser Amin Nazzal, 32, after questioning his family members.

Eyewitnesses said that eight military vehicles broke into the town of Rummaneh and arrested a young man after raiding his family’s home.

Israeli troops also stormed the town of Akabe in Tubas Governorate where they arrested a citizen and his son; according to residents in the town.

Meanwhile, the town of Araka witnessed extensive break-ins and searches that took place in the town center and in the vicinity of the mosque, after the IOF have set up a military checkpoint at the town’s entrance this morning.

Israeli soldiers have also stormed the Aroub camp, north of al-Khalil, after midnight, and toured its streets, then they broke into and searched a number of houses and arrested at least five young men, local sources in Arroub told PIC’s reporter.

The sources confirmed that all the detainees were liberated captives.

Other sources in the village of Koum, west of the town of Dura south of al-Khalil, said that Israeli forces stormed and searched the house of Mohammed Rajoub and arrested his son, 21, a student at the Palestine Polytechnic University.
