The village’s national committee against settlement said in a statement that a group of settlers attacked the farmers and expelled them out of their land under protection of Israeli occupation forces.

IOF uproot dozens of fruitful trees in Wadi Al-Gharous area
AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– A large force of Israeli troops along with two bulldozers raided Wadi Al-Gharous area east of Al-Khalil city and uprooted dozens of fruitful trees.
According to Al-Khalil demarcation agreement which the Palestinian Authority signed with the Israeli occupation regime, Wadi Al-Gharous area is located within the so-called zone C under Israel’s control.
The troops guarded the bulldozers as they were destroying agricultural lands planted with almonds, olives and grapes. The lands belong to the families of Jaber and Al-Jabari.
One of the landowners Shaban Jaber told the Palestinian information center (PIC) that the bulldozers uprooted about 135 fruitful trees and demolished one water well and two irrigation ponds at the pretext they had no permits issued by the Israeli army’s civil administration.
Jaber stated that the Israeli army had targeted their lands many times before, especially last February when its troops destroyed plastic nurseries and a vast tract of cultivated land.
He noted that the Israeli army claims the famers have no permits to carry out their agricultural activities in the area, but the truth is that it aims to uproot the Palestinian natives from their own lands and bring Jewish settlers to live in their place.
“We are going to die in our land, and the Zionists can never dream that we leave it no matter what,” Jaber stressed.
Every once in a while, the Israeli army targets Palestinian farmers and their property in the areas near Kiryat Arba and Kharsina settlements in Al-Khalil.
In a separate incident, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) established on Friday checkpoints in different places north of Al-Khalil city.
Eyewitnesses told the PIC that the IOF erected several military barriers at the entrance to Halhoul town, near its bridge that leads to Al-Khalil city and near Beit Ummar town.
They said a large number of troops and their patrols were deployed in the early morning hours in these areas before embarking on searching passing Palestinian vehicles.
Other local sources from Al-Khalil also reported that the IOF blocked the entrance of Yatta town and intercepted vehicles.
During the operation, they said, the IOF kidnapped a young man named Firas Abu Aziza and took him to an unknown destination.
The IOF also created a checkpoint at the entrance to Samu’a town near Yatta and searched cars.
The IOF, in another incident on the same day, helped hundreds of Jewish settlers to storm Ein Kanar area in Dura town and perform their bizarre rituals. They cordoned off the area for several hours in the morning to secure the settlers’ entry.

Hababa said that the village inhabitants would boycott the tour and would resist the Israeli occupation forces in the event they tried to storm their village.
