The Bahraini Forum for Human Rights intends to issue a report on the involvement of several sons of the Bahraini King and other members of the ruling family in violations against civilians that go against human rights.

In its statement, the forum announced that “its monitoring and follow-up team is currently receiving testimonies that prove the involvement of several members of the royal family, most notably Nasser bin Hamad and Khaled bin Hamad, in cases of torturing citizens, political activists, and civilians in detention centers or at checkpoints.”

The statement confirmed that once the report is done it will be relayed for legal action.

Meanwhile, protesters poured into the streets in several towns and villages around Bahraini capital Manama, urging the al-Khalifa regime to step down.

Calling for the immediate release of prisoners and demanded a full withdrawal of all Saudi forces, activists called for a massive turnout of protesters across the country on Friday.

Dozens of people have been killed and thousands more have been arrested or fired from their jobs in Bahrain since the beginning of the uprising in February.

Many health workers, teachers, opposition figures and human rights activists have been arrested ever since and are still facing trial or serving prison terms over participation in demonstrations.
