Palestine: Farmer ordered to uproot his own trees, land south of Nablus seized, Israeli rabbi urges killing of non-Jews & arrests

“Israel” orders Palestinian farmer to uproot his own trees

RAMALLAH (Ma’an) — Israeli authorities handed military orders Thursday to a resident of Nabi Samwil, northwest of Jerusalem, ordering him to uproot 100 trees on his land, a Palestinian Authority statement said.

Israeli authorities say that the land is part of 1,100 dunums declared as a national park, despite the farmer claiming ownership, the PA said.

In April, Jerusalem’s District Committee for Planning and Construction approved a new plan to establish national park on lands belonging to Isawiya village in East Jerusalem.

“Israel” seizes 189 dunums of Palestinian farmland south of Nablus

NABLUS, (PIC)– Israeli authorities have notified the residents of the Palestinian Qaryut village south of Nablus that they would seize 189 dunums of local farmland, said West Bank Jewish settlement official Ghassan Daghlas.

The official added that the authorities have restricted entry of the land and have declared it state property.

The notice gives the locals 45 days to object to the decision, Daghlas said, adding that other Palestinians were offered the same chance but without real implementation on the ground.

Israeli rabbi urges killing of non-Jews

Press TV

An ultra-orthodox Israeli rabbi has defended the killing of non-Jews, including infants, in his new book on ways to tackle ‘threats’ against Israel.

In a sequel to his earlier book The King’s Torah, Rabbi Yitzhak Shapira justifies the killing of non-Jews that “pose a threat to Israel,” while describing “practical” ways of dealing with the people in the Gaza Strip.

The King’s Torah was first published in 2009.

Shapira was arrested last summer for encouraging Jews to kill non-Jews in his book. He was also suspected of involvement in a crude rocket attack directed at a Palestinian village in 2008.

In 2010, Shapira encouraged the use of Palestinians as human shields by army soldiers, even when the victim happened to be a civilian.

“Anything you do to keep the war tough is permissible and obligatory according to the Torah,” Shapira proclaimed.

The extreme rabbinic rulings have offered the Israeli military a free hand to attack civilian population.

IOF troops storm homes of liberated prisoners, round up child among others

JENIN, (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed the village of Anin, west of Jenin city on Wednesday and broke into the homes of a number of liberated prisoners, local sources said.

Eyewitnesses told the PIC reporter that the officer accompanying the soldiers met with a number of ex-prisoners and warned them against indulging in anti Israel activity. He also told them that they are under close watch.

They said that the soldiers burst into a number of shops and questioned citizens.

Meanwhile, IOF soldiers arrested two Palestinians in Husan village, west of Bethlehem city, including a 14-year-old child and took them away blindfolded and handcuffed after terrorizing their families.

The soldiers on Tuesday detained four Palestinians in Al-Khalil, human rights sources told the PIC, adding that they were taken to Etzion detention center.

In the Negev, Israeli border police arrested 100 Palestinian workers from the West Bank in the village of Rahet for working in 1948 occupied land without permit.

Sheikh Salah challenges deportation order

LONDON, (PIC)– British authorities transferred Sheikh Raed Salah, the leader of the Islamic movement in 1948 occupied Palestine, to Colnbrook Immigration Removal Center near London’s Heathrow airport on Wednesday night.

Zahir Al-Birawi, the spokesman for the Palestinian forum in Britain, told the PIC after midnight Wednesday that the transfer of Sheikh Salah to the Colnbrook center was a normal procedure after the deportation order.

He said that an appeal was filed against his deportation, which automatically defers his deportation for one week.

Birawi said that a delegation of the forum and the Palestinian community in the UK visited Sheikh Salah, who told them that Israel was responsible for his detention in the UK.

Salah said that he would not bow to the deportation order because he did not commit any crime and would not accept his reputation to be smeared and would trek all legal means to reverse the decision even if he has to stay in jail, Birawi, who was among the delegation that visited the Sheikh, said.
